Congratulations to Mike Seaver and Simon Barb, winners of the Swiss pairs. This challenging annual event took place at Trumpington Village Hall Sunday, April 29th. Twenty-four pairs from many Cambs & Hunts affiliated clubs gathered to compete for prizes and the County Trophy. The competition comprised 6 matches of 8 boards, with tea provided at half time. Mary Knights with Rona Stewart from Peterborough and Malcolm Anderson with Stephen Goodwin from Huntingdon shared second place. Other prizes went to half time leaders, Tanawan Watts and Roger Salmon, and to the highest ascenders in the second half, Bryan and Peter Last. Jonathan Cairns and Audrey Kueh were the highest placed players below *master, coming 5th. The event was organised by Penny Riley , directed by Ken Riley and scored by Colin Sills. |
